Induction cooking
I used to listen to ghost stories as a child. (Who didn't? )I remember one such story, where the ghost who is sitting near a wooden stove would extinguish the flame with her bare hands. Aha divine power. Or should we say devvi power.? (devva in Kannada means ghost) I remembered that today when I was holding the tea vessel with my bare hands - and not because of nervous oversight. Induction technology. I am not really sure how it works - the stove heats the content in the vessel, but not the vessel itself. (which game me super power to hold the vessel with my bare hands). Small, easy to maintain, super fast. Why don't we use this type of stove more often? May be we believe in the "hard work" principle. Food is not good enough, if you have not done donkey work for an entire day. Is it not what our mothers taught us? Or tried very hard to teach us?
