Life is an illusion

Breathe - Into the shadows ಇದು ಅಮೆಝಾನ್ ಪ್ರೈಮ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತರವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಧಾರವಾಹಿ. ಮೊದಲೆರಡು ಕಂತುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನನಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ ಅನಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಆಮೇಲೆ ಕಥೆಯು ದುರ್ಬಲವಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಅವಿನಾಶ್ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಸೈಕಿಯಾಟ್ರಿಸ್ಟ್.. ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಆಭಾ ಫೈವ್ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಹೋಟೆಲಲ್ಲಿ ಶೆಫ್. ಮುದ್ದಾದ ಮಗಳು ಸಿಯಾ , ಸುಂದರ, ವಿಶಾಲ ಮನೆ. ಸುಖಿ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅವಿ. ಆದರೆ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಅವನ ಬದುಕು ತಲೆಕೆಳಗಾಗಿಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಮಗುವಿನ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ತಾನು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಪಕ್ಕದ ಹೋಟೆಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ - ನಮ್ಮ ಖಳನಾಯಕ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕಾಲು ಎಳೆಯುತ್ತ. ಬಂದು ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಕಿಡ್ನಾಪ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವಿನಾಶ್, ಅಭಾ ಊರೆಲ್ಲ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಕಂಪ್ಲೇಂಟ್ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಹಳ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆಭಾ ರಸ್ತೆ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋಸ್ಟರ್ ಅಂಟಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆದರೂ ಸಿಯಾನ  ಪತ್ತೆಯಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂಬತ್ತು ತಿಂಗಳ ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪಾರ್ಸಲ್ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಐಪ್ಯಾಡ್ .  ಅದರಲ್ಲೊಂದು ವಿಡಿಯೋ. ಸಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅವಳ ಜೊತೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ಕಿಡ್ನಾಪ್ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯುವತಿ ಮಾತಾಡುವ, ಆಟ ಆಡುವ, ಸಿಯಾಗೆ ಆ ಯುವತಿ (ಅವಳು ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಸ್ಟೂಡೆಂಟ್) ಡಯಾಬಿಟಿಸ್ ಇಂಜೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಕೊಡುವ ವಿಡಿಯೋಗಳು. ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವಿಡಿಯೋದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಖಳನಾ

I have uploaded a Kotlin quiz app to github repository. You can download the project and modify and use to create your own apps. The questions for the quiz come from two tables in a sqlite database file - questions and objectivequestions. You can use any database browser to edit the database and populate questions. Questions can be listed based on topic. You can search for keyword. Answers and explanations are to be provided to questions. You can visit the project at github   P.S. : The code is not very up todate and is using many old APIs. I just converted a Java project to Kotlin using Kotlin converter available in Android Studio. 

I have an idea. Who are the greatest patriots of the nation? Who fight each and every day/night for our country? Who can uncover the greatest plots to destabilize our nation? You all know the answer. Our TV news anchors. So now when our country is facing an unforeseen enemy which is killing our countrymen, who should run to save our country? The said patriots - news anchors. So these people can be sent as covid warriors - with/without cameras. To collect information, to trace contacts, to hospitals to collect vacant bed information. Because they have all the tools needed - they can bully be strict with people, they can uncover hidden information. And most important of all, they love our "nation" and its people. And - as a positive side effect, we can all have little bit of peace in our houses.

Like all husbands, my husband loves to watch TV news. And I... I some times simmer, some times laugh, some other times retort. To these high decibel confident and completely irrational speeches by news panel participants. I have observed some changes in the recent years - people participating in these news discussions have become very confident and thus very articulate. The confidence arises from passion and anger. And of course bhakti. Desha bhakti, paksha bhakti, sainya bhakti, vyakti bhakti! To their ammunition, now a new C word has been added - China. So I can hear blah, blah, blah, China, Rahul Gandhi, blah, blah. If you analyze their much lengthy speeches, you will realize that there isn't much substance behind all those words. It's like kids not knowing an answer in a test, and writing  a long essay to confuse the teacher. Its our fault. We old timers still expect news to be actual news - not just propaganda noise.
