Man or woman is meant to create - is created to create. That is why we feel miserable if we keep consuming instead of creating.
When was the last time I wrote anything? A month ago? An year ago? A lifetime ago?
Anyways today is a great day to write. It has been a good day so far.
Instead of the excruciating heat of the last few days, it has been pleasant. Even the floor feels surprisingly cool to the feet. Could be because of cloudy weather - there is a temporary respite from unusual heat so early in the year. It is not even March yet.
I peek out of my window - the water I have kept for the birds on compound wall has remained unused, undrunk, rejected.
What happened was - I noticed a bird drinking from my plant pot few days ago. Is it a magical bird to drink from a pot - pot will have soil and plants, right? Or has this scientist bird invented a recipe for extracting water from air?
Well, this pot - is actually a repurposed water bottle with some kind of foliage plant - I neither know its name nor the way to grow it. Nor do I know whether it is to be kept in water or in soil. So I have added both in this recycled water bottle. The plant is just surviving.
From this container the bird was drinking water. So I felt kindness for this bird and any other thirsty birds. So I took another plastic container - shallow one this time and kept water in it. Like a naivedya. I thought shallow ones will be better for them.
Like the saying - every good act never goes unpunished, there was a consequence. The foliage which had 2 leaves, was harmed by the birds. One leave was broken.
But as Krishna famously said (with a different intention), I have my rights only over my action. The results of this action are beyond me.
I have to tell you something - if you seriously want to learn Sanskrit language, but as an Indian adult neither can go to college nor want to spend any money for paid online courses, vyoma labs is your solution. They have numerous courses on grammar, scriptures. They also have preparatory courses for Sanskrit exams conducted by organizations like 'Sanskrit Bharathi' etc.
And I found their videos excellent.
Then I remembered the phrase 'sampraptre sannihite kale nahi nahi rakshati dakrun karane' - when the end time is near grammar will not save you.
I beg to differ. Dakru karane protects me from keeping me engaged. And will help me in avoiding or delaying age related dementia.
