Bhasmasur
Bhasmasur is a Hindu mythological character.
He was a demon - a Rakshas - asura is another name for rakshasa. Like all rakshasas he was wicked and wanted to win the world.
He did severe tapas for many many years to God Shiva. And ultimately Lord Shiva had to appear in front of Bhasmasur and ask him what he wants. And this demon asked a wish that on whosever head he keeps his hand they will turn to ashes - bhasma means ash.
And among Gods, Shiva is famous for his naïveté. He granted the wish and all hell broke loose.
Asura started winning every king - both human and demon simply with his one hand (!). And all Gods begged Lord Vishnu to save them because Bhasmasura would next attack the Gods.
Lord Vishnu took the form of beautiful maiden Mohini and started dancing in front of the Asura. Completely enraptured by her, Bhasmasur, started imitating her. And Mohini kept her hand on her head. So did he.
So this story is like Frankenstein in our mythology. And most often the dictators, the autocrats and other cunning rulers end up with the fate of Bhasmasur.
America trained and supplied arms to Taliban in Cold War era to suppress Russia backed government in Afghanistan. And Taliban attacked America on 9/11
Indira Gandhi helped Sikh separatist Khalistan movement to counter Akali dal in Punjab and then she was assassinated by her own Sikh body guards.
Advani first started the communal politics with Rath Yatra and later demolition of masjid. And the very man whom he trained, who continued his tradition, ended his political career.
So the moral of the story is - bevu bitti mavu beleva tavaka beda- as you sow, so you reap.
