Paani to barasavo

Yesterday it rained.

It was a mockery of a rain. It was as if Varuna- the rain god, telling us “sorry folks, that’s all I have “.

The rain drops were microscopic and the duration was hardly 10 minutes.

But it kept on thundering for quite some time keeping the hope alive in us mortals that it may rain properly later. It did not.

But the nature- it has become alpa trapta. It decided this nano version is sufficient for me. And air has cooled down. And trees have given out new buds - colourful ones.

O Varuna,  if you can hear us, please give us some more of this nano and micro rains and we promise not to chop any more (remaining) trees.
