Beauty

I was walking in the park and observed large red flowery view in a corner. I thought it might be a plastic cover. But there is no plastic menace in this park - it is well maintained. When I reached there it was indeed bunch of pretty red flowers. So being calmed and pleased by its beauty, I started my philosophical analysis about beauty. What is beauty? How much of it is in our perspective? A city dweller will find a stream, a hillock or a forest breathe taking. But a person who resides there finds these same objects mundane. I think even Abhishek Bachan, the husband of prettiest lady in the world may not find his wife beautiful. Is beauty associated with novelty? But there is one thing which is always beautiful. That is smile. Be it the smile of a child or man or a woman. Old and young. A smile brightens anyone’s face. Why? Why do we find smile beautiful? Is it because we innately know that the person smiling is happy, which makes us happy? So let us smile often and be happy

Illusion

When you are passionate about something entire universe conspires to make it happen. What a load of b****t! On the contrary, the entire world conspires to take that thing away from you. In this context, I am realizing the significance of God and religion. When a man/woman is desperate and feels that there is nothing/no one left to turn to, God gives some kind of (false?) hope. He/she feels God might help him/her! So God might be a least harmful anti-depression medication? But once you are drawn into this whirlpool of God, followed by rituals, followed by all other things, you do not realize when you will turn from a reasonably rational person to a complete irrational person. Because you see, this whole concept is based on a made up world. But on the other hand, everything in this world might be made up - an illusion - a bhram.

Marcus Aurelius Quotes

Image
Marucs Aurelius was Roman king who ruled between 161 AD to 180 AD. He is well known as a philosopher king and his book Meditations is considered as first book on Stoicism. The book is a series of personal writings by him, recording his private notes to himself and ideas on Stoic philosophy . Some well known quotes from the book “You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” “The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.”  “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.”  "If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.”  “The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury.”  “When you arise in the morning think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, to love ...”

Belief

Belief is a strange thing. Belief wants absolute servitude. Belief believes that he is the ultimate truth. Belief expects every living organism is follow it and abhors anyone who defies it. It Abhors, detests and brutally tries to decimate any form of dissent. Belief is really a strange thing.

Two steps peril

We paranoid people always use two step authentication. Wherever it is provided. And the sites which provide these think of it as tool for more persecution.  The sites think that if a person has used two steps, he/she must suffer double or much much more if there is a problem in logging in. I have had this problem earlier. And I have it now. I am unable to login to a site because I am not getting two step authentication code. I tried a million times, until the site told me it can no longer send me codes. Not a single code arrived to my phone. I argued with a helpline of my ISP. To no avail. Now do I deactivate my account? How can I without logging in? Do I open another account? What happens to old account? I have thus lost even my google play account from where I used to publish my apps. Victim card : I might the one and only person facing these completely ridiculous problems. Note : My solution today was to try out a new recipe. When I eat the terrible outcome of that r

Word conjugator

What is common between amo, amas, amat, amamus .... and gachchati, gachchataha, gachchanti? Other than occupations of a person with plenty... of free time? :) Well these are all word conjugations. First one is in Latin and second is in Sanskrit. That way, our poor English is much better. Because in this language, the verbs do not differ so much for different persons and singular-plural etc. But many other languages have different forms for first person, second person, third person and singular and plural. By the way, we never learnt by rote hoguttene-hogutteve, hoguttiya etc. in Kannada. And we never found it very difficult either. OK, mother tongue. I am babbling. See, all these conjugations of verbs are available in a single website (not mine) called verbix. Verbix sanskrit conjugator - make sure you type verbs in devanagari. Verbix Hindi conjugator    See the example of jaana here https://verbix.com/webverbix/go.php?T1=%E0%A4%9C%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%BE&Subm

Let us all pray for man ki shakti.
