 SriLanka is facing the worst economic crisis. And people want to bring down the government. Imran Khan - the Pakistani president faced a no confident motion, tried to give an emotional speech, and try to escape. But could not. 

In Ukaraine, Russia has waged war on it. Just because it dared to join NATO. The war is not showing any signs of ending soon. Many countries have imposed economic sanctions on Russia. NATO and America are trying to help Ukaraine. But not enough is being done. Or they do not want to start the next world war. In the mean time, thousands are dying in Ukaraine. 

This helplessness of international community is not new. Afghanistan is taken over fundamentalist, terrorist regime of Taliban, after American forces withdrew. People don't even have basic rights there. And no one is lifting a finger. By the way, where is United Nations and what is it doing?

Else where, ministers who are blamed for the death of people are roaming scot-free and are acting as if they were some kind of jailed freedom fighters. But kids from universities are arrested and denied bail while awaiting trial. Lawyers and intellectuals are arrested, and some even die while waiting for trial. 

People who openly cause division in society, who openly spread hatred, who call for violence are not arrested. But other people are arrested on sedition charges and UAPA without any kind of proof. 

Will a fractured society be better prepared to face the difficulties of post-pandemic world, the problems such inflation, unemployment, poverty? We did not know that.
