Ah, the self inflicted pain! I went back to the old laptop and went back to old android studio. My God, it is still as hurtful and much much slower. Now it just freezes.
I thought now the AI has come, and help is available for any kind of problems - digital that is. So certainly the people at google would have improved the development system and made it faster and neater.
Either that is not true or I am using the wrong product. It is not letting me run even the sample project created by IDE itself. I had to resort to power button shutdown.
Do I try it on the new system? I would rather not. I would instead try to find what could be going wrong with it. May be learn gradle building using AI and deconstruct the process.
As I was busy with this, I did nothing else. I kept staring at the frozen screen - trying to go to command interpreter and failing. I did not even take my phone for solving latest sudoku puzzle.
Wishing me better luck today.
