Color

Today as I was watering the plants I saw a piece of orange cloud in the sky - a really small piece. And wondered when was the last time I saw any color in the sky.

Not since we moved from multi-story apartment to independent house. Apartment in its 16th floor would show me a a sky with little bit or crimson in the morning, with pale orange in the evening. with light purple by dusk or with bright white in the middle of the day.

But now all I see is neighbors houses and their cars. Cars cars elnodu cars. Ok, from the terrace I can see a partial sky. And I do get up early before sunrise. But can't live on the terrace, right?

So I saw the color today and was thrilled. And I have been seeing some colors on the roads too. No, not holi colors. Holi has long been over and we are almost approaching yugadi.

Usually, 300 days of the year, Bangalore roads are dusty brown in color with a car here and there and everywhere. But now since it is spring and the trees are really in a jovial mood. Not only are the splashing colors in the sky, they are even trying to beautify the roads. With bright colored flowers - yellow, light pink, purple, pink. Ah, the roads are pleasant for a change.

They are not thinking, let us ration on water usage and not bloom up. Let us save some water for april, may and june. Let us have some water for our little sapling here. Let us hold the water down deep in the ground so that the neighbors do not steal it.

No, they are not saying any of these. They are using of the last of their resources and blooming like there is no tomorrow.  They might even have been convinced that there is no tomorrow -what with humans destroying city after city, and country after country.

Thank you dear trees, for reviving my faith in humanity - naturity?
