Serious film

Everyone tries to exploit others when and if possible.

That seems to be the message of the film "Serious men". 

The famous scientist who is fooling the government in the name of "alien microbes", school head mistress trying to give scholarship in exchange for conversion, the politician who wants to use "dalit"ness of the the child for his building project. Even the hero Mani who exploits his own son for "his better future".

 Mani is a PA to the above mentioned scientist has a son Adi who is genius. Who is being showered with choicest abuses on a daily basis by the scientist. But unfortunately for him, he is not the imbecile with a primitive mind, his boss thinks him to be. And he certainly does not want his son to face the abuses and insults he is facing.

And this child prodigy is becoming quite popular. But Mani teaches him everything. Not in the traditional way but he writes down speeches for the son, makes him memorize them, and when people ask him difficult questions, the father tells him answer using  Adi's Bluetooth hearing aid. And the proud father even steals the exam papers for the son.

But things take a wrong turn when Mani spills the beans about his boss's fraud. He forgets that, those (poor people) in the glass houses should never throw stones at others. 

So it is a really serious film about classism, caste-ism and exploitation. And is available in Netflix.
