Hindi film songs

Have not been here for a few days. Because I am working on a site for half an hour per day. And that’s enough to silence my guilt voice. Now we Indians love hindi film songs. And another thing they love is politics. (That is one positive change in the recent years.) What if we have both together  as satire? It can’t get any better! Don’t you agree? Then you will love a channel called aisi taisi democracy. Rahul Ram sings beautifully. And I love the lyrics. A fair warning- if you are a right leaning person or you are one of those devotees (wink wink), then do not go there. DO NOT.

Memory ace - a game for all ages

Image
I did finally publish my app Memory Ace . Earlier the app was called Memory game, then memorypro and now it is called memory ace. I am happy with the app because I do like to play with it for some time. Especially "Simon". That game is musical. The app will glow these buttons in certain order and you have to reproduce that series. But each button has its own note played. The experience is nice. But the pattern game was my sister's and my niece's favorite. It has speed, action and colorful. This time I changed the pattern color to dark greenish instead of red. And the card memory is all time favorite. Because it is tough and is timed game. If it is not timed, you keep flipping the cards and being wrong infinitely. It happens to me. If you open two cards of same color and type, then you clear them off the board. Last but not least is face memory. Some of us tend to forget faces. Hope this game helps us in tweaking our face recognition capacity.

No angry post

Twice I started a post and twice I stopped today. Thou  shall not talk when thou ist enraged . And not blog. Because you don’t want to show your that face to your readers. No, I am not hiding my vices from you people. But what ever is making me furious currently is my personal mess and is not relevant here.  Let me tell you about my coping mechanisms. I have a FreeCell, and TextTwister game on my phone and I try to keep 1 or 2 active channels of learning - Languages.  And why learn languages? Will I be asked about Latin first declension words or kta pratyaya of Sanskrit by Chitragupta? May be not.  But I need something to hold ontountil I visit him , right? HIM him, not Chitragupta.  And I keep installing calming apps too. Reflectly app looks good so far because it is encouraging without being fake or nagging.

Insaan

This song is from 1959 hindi film “Dhool ka phool “. We all need to listen to the song and think about it It starts with “ tu hindu banega ya musalman banega. Watch it on YouTube https://youtu.be/JCjtqO6u-n0

Mangoes

Knitting

Ha! Thinking that at least one feminazi has been “converted “  you are rejoicing!! Not exactly, my world views haven’t changed a bit. My intense dislike for cleaning and cooking and any other wifely duties hasn’t decreased an iota. I haven’t developed a sudden taste in any of the womanly interests such as beautifying oneself. I have just started knitting or rather crocheting. Nothing more, nothing less. But I started analysing ( I don’t call it ruminating) the reason behind this sudden interest.  I came up with few answers It costs nothing - almost nothing. A small bundle of yarn costs 15 rupees. Unimaginable!!!! It continues my tradition of doing things without purpose Just like my coding work, this work is has no beginning, nor an end And it has cute little codes like - SC dc sl etc. I am in familiar territory  There is an easy ctrl z -undo feature;)

After life

I have been wanting to blog about a Tv series “after life” from Netflix since a week. Then I felt it is wrong. I am supposed to read and write about great literature . Not trivial TV series. But with my busy schedule (YouTube, movies channels on Tv and occasional Netflix !!) it is difficult to finish a book. Any way I am in page 472 of a book - a great book by Maksim Gorky. So I am entitled to blog about a TV series. After life - if you think it is about life after death, or some kind of zombie thing, you are absolutely wrong. And anyway I don’t watch such series because Western deads are ugly unlike our own Indian bhoots who are clad in beautiful white sarees and look more like apsaras than dead humans. The serial is about a widower who is so upset with his wife’s death that he wants to kill him self. Hard to believe, if you ask me. After 25 years of marriage ( I think), he is still attached so much to his own wife? Any way, that’s what the story is. And Tony- our heron is suicidal in

My apps revisited

Image
Happy Women's Day my dear readers. There were few quotes which lifted my spirits as usual - "you don't need feet when you have wings" (At this rate of feet and leg pain, I do need wings very soon).  And wings are a burden if you don't fly or something like that. Some how that reminded me of my purpose of joining facebook (for the nth time). Publicize my apps. And how do I do that? I write 2 or 3 blog posts when I publish the apps. And that's all. Self promotion is against my principle of humility (and lack of self esteem). So let me write some thing about my apps. Currently I have 4 active apps in google play. Data structure questions This app is useful for the students of computer science who are studying DS and job seekers in the IT field. The app has plenty of objective questions on various topics of the subject and large number of programming questions. All questions do have solutions. And the entire app is offline.

Meanie

It was hot summer noon. I was walking on the road sweating, tired and completely exhausted. Upset due to various reasons, summer heat being the main one. And I wanted to demean everyone without any reason. It was as though if their insult will some how heal my wounds.  Then I realised that the reason many people are mean towards others, is they are having their own summer noon walks. How does this knowledge help me? At least when I am hurt by someone, I can tell myself that they are going through some difficult times. Hmmm. Tall order.

Orators

Historically Indian politicians were never much erudite, nor had much oratory skills. There were few exceptions though. But this has changed greatly in recent years. We see some highly educated people entering into politics. And many of the politicians today are quite good orators.  The negative side of this development is, they are also becoming quite arrogant. Openly.  And they are fluently telling us extended truths, semi truths, post truths and some times outright lies. Without flinching.  It is like a joke in Kannada “ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. And we... listen

unsafe

In the last few years, our country has become more unsafe. Not only for women, but for all citizens. Don’t mistake me. I am not at all talking about the situation across the border. I have been thinking about this post for a week. Before all these events. What do I mean by unsafe? Do I mean to say that the police are not protecting our citizens? Or we can not walk on the road alone? Or suddenly there is a exponential rise in crime rate? The answer is none of the above. I think, our beloved country has become unsafe because of increase in number of traitors. We realise that every day there arise few more traitors, as told to us by social media. And there is an increase in people with enemy connections. Even some political parties are allying with Pakistan to destroy us. And there are kids from college who want to break our country into pieces. Then there is spread of naxal movement from deep forest to urban areas. So you see there is much more danger to our country and our beloved count

Genes

I haven’t written much lately. I have been busy. Watching movies and stand up comedies in Netflix :) But that doesn’t mean I have stopped thinking. See, I need to charge the phone once or twice a day. So.. We were cavemen once upon a time. No, not me personally. Don’t add this to the series of stories you tell about me. I mean, our forefathers and their wives were cave people thousands of years ago. (May not be people in our country! Our country was always civilised ;) ). Men would hunt and bring food home. And women would cook that food and watch over the children. But as we started farming and later started other professions, men could not hunt and kill anyone.  But that “killer instinct “ is still in  their genes. While we see little girls playing with dolls, little boys love to play with their guns and sabres. And later these boys play violent video games. That could be the reason why our men are chanting “war, war, war”  without giving a single thought about the costs and repercus
